Here is the news about Spain tourism recovery!
Spain is recovering tourism: it receives 7.5 million tourists in June, triple the number in 2021.
Spain is recovering one of its most important economic pillars: tourism. Little by little the pandemic is lagging behind, decisions are being diluted and this makes more and more people want to visit all corners of the country again. This favors the Spanish economy, which is suffering as a result of inflation.
According to the latest data published by the INE, during the month of June Spain received the visit of 7.5 million international tourists, more than triple what was recorded in the same month of 2021, when 2.2 million foreign tourists arrived. In addition, these data are close to those that were recorded in pre-pandemic times, 2019. At that time more than 8 million tourists arrived in Spain.

This figure is six times higher than that recorded in 2021, a period when covid-19 restrictions were still very repressive. That meant that only 5.4 million tourists arrived in Spain.
In addition, according to the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, during the first six months of the year international tourists spent 35,769 million euros, which represents 89% of pre-pandemic levels. This means that people who visited Spain spent 515.5% more compared to the same period of the previous year.
The tourists who came to Spain the most were the British. In total, 1.8 million people came from the United Kingdom, representing 24.2% of the total. This represents an increase of 1,165.9% compared to June 2021.
