Spain promotes eight logistics sector startup development - The Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona and La Salle Campus Barcelona-URL, through its innovation park La Salle Technova Barcelona, closed the second eDelivery Acceleration Program. This program aims to encourage the creation of innovative projects and market opportunities for participating Startups. The startups selected to participate in the program have been FlexSim, CargoBici, Pay Mark Fast, Vonzu, Internet of Things, StockAgile, Way Director and Butler.
During the 22-week duration, the eDelivery Accelerator Program has put the eight participating startups in contact with consolidated companies such as Ametller Origen Group, Bricomart, Consum Cooperativa, Desigual, Freshperts, Go popup, Ikea, Mango, Trison, Ulabox o Vienna with a double objective: on the one hand, already consolidated corporates have informed startups of their specific technological needs to optimize the final distribution. On the other hand, startups have been able to present their digital news and learn how they should evolve in order to collaborate with these companies in a way that is beneficial to both parties.

Pere Navarro, special delegate of the State of the Free Zone Consortium, highlighted: “The Consortium of the Free Zone of Barcelona is a great tool for economic and social transformation. We want to be a factory of opportunities and that is why we are betting on projects like the one we started two years ago, with the help of La Salle Technova Barcelona, with the first fair acceleration program in our country, aimed at logistic and real estate startups, through of our SIL, eDelivery Barcelona and Barcelona Meeting Point fairs ”. Navarro also recalled that the main objective of this acceleration program is "to help participating startups improve their business skills by providing tools to identify, develop and create market opportunities."
Josep Miquel Piqué, executive president of La Salle Technova Barcelona, highlighted: “The eDelivery accelerator not only helps the digital transformation of the sector, but also contributes to the growth of innovative companies. The Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona and La Salle Technova Barcelona have already accelerated to 15 startups in these two editions that have 151 workers, invoice more than € 3M and have raised an investment of more than € 4M. ”
In addition to Corporate Workshops, during the eDelivery Accelerator Program, Investment Readiness has been carried out of advice and guidance to achieve successful investment rounds, team sessions to achieve the consolidation of high-performance teams, aimed at entrepreneurs and Agile Sales with advanced marketing techniques and sales that link theoretical and practical concepts providing a global vision oriented to results.
The startups that have participated in the eDelivery Accelerator Program offer technological solutions for very diverse fields of the logistics sector.

The Free Zone Consortium and La Salle Technova announce that the call is opened so that interested startups can choose to be part of the third eDelivery Accelerator Program. Newly created companies (less than 3 years old) that have innovative solutions that impact the logistics, delivery and last mile sector can participate.
