WHILE the end result is sweet, baking, can often be a stressful experience, and usually because there are a dozen or so ingredients involved.

But a savvy mother has captivated the internet with a chocolate cake containing only two foods.

Andrea Soranidis shared on his blog The Petite Cook his recipe for an indulgent dessert using only Nutella and eggs.

The "2-ingredient Nutella Cake" can be prepared in just 30 minutes.

"If you're a chocolate lover or just an occasional fan, this 2-ingredient Nutella cake is absolutely a must have," he wrote.

"This cake comes together in less than 30 minutes, is completely foolproof and is also gluten free (depending on the chocolate you use)."

The mother, who also wrote a cookbook on Italian cuisine, added that she makes her own homemade "nutella" that is "sticky, rich and sticks in the blink of an eye."

For the chocolate cake, you will need five medium large eggs and 250 g of chocolate cream with hazelnuts, such as Nutella.

The recipe has gone down well online.
