n Monday, provincial authorities along with farmers from Cipolletti and Fernández Oro held a meeting to address the current situation facing the fruit sector.

The secretary of Fruticultura de Río Negro, Facundo Fernández said that he was meeting “with a group of producers analyzing the current situation and that they made a request for a call to the Fruit Conciliation Table” in order to set guidelines for the beginning of the harvest.

The Government today endorsed the creation of a new banking union (Siteba), an organization created in 2011 that only now achieved union registration to group the employees of the activity.

The new organization responds to José "Pepe" Peralta, former director of the internal board of the City Bank and deputy secretary of the Autonomous CTA of Ricardo Peidro, whose claim had a court ruling ordering his registration in the Register of Trade Unions.

Peralta promoted its creation together with a small group of affiliates of the CTA and La Bancaria, the historical and majority guild, due to apparent differences with the role assigned to public banking and the statute of the union.

The area of ​​action will be the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, City of Neuquén (Confluence Department), City of Bahía Blanca (Homonymous Party) and City of San Miguel de Tucumán (Capital Department).
