As every year, the award ceremonies will punctuate the first months of 2020. The 92nd edition of the Oscars will culminate. In 2019, the previous edition was marked by a controversy even before the start of the ceremony. Comedian Kevin Hart had been chosen to present the 91st edition but had to give up following accusations of homophobia that hung over him, after old tweets resurfaced.

TRENDING: Piton de la Fournaise still trembles
The Piton de la Fournaise continues to stir. "51 earthquakes were recorded during the day on January 12" indicates the volcanological observatory on Monday January 13, 2020. The volcano has been showing signs of awakening since December 31, 2019. Aline Peltier, the director of the observatory indicates " if all the parameters that we record continue, we can expect an eruption in the medium term, that is to say in the coming days or even weeks "(Photo rb / www.ipreunion.com)
"No rapid deformation of the ground surface was recorded during this crisis, which shows that the magma has not left the superficial magmatic reservoir" note however the volcanologists before adding that "this new seismic crisis shows that the superficial magmatic reservoir continues to pressurize as also shown by the continuing inflation of the building ".
The director of the Ovpf specifies "this means that we have a storage space in which the magma transits before arriving at the surface, currently it is filling up at some point the pressure will be too strong inside and it will therefore trigger a departure of magma on the surface therefore an eruption but for the moment we are in this pressurization phase which can last a few more days. "
Soon...
Aline Peltier explains "we know that at present in terms of deformation rate and seismicity rate, we have reached the thresholds observed for the 2019 eruptions so it can happen at any time, however, it will be really when we have a significant seismic crisis with large deformations we will know that the magma is leaving the reservoir and that the eruption will become imminent but for the moment this is not yet the case. "
Will the first eruption of 2020 be intense?
"For the intensity of this next eruption, we don't know. We just know the amount of magma that is accumulating in the reservoir and the longer this time will be, the more there will be. is this magma going to surface in one or more eruptions, unfortunately we cannot answer this question. We saw that in 2019, we had five eruptions, there could have been only one which would have lasted a long time. We cannot predict the eruption durations, we just know the volume that there is in depth which can therefore lead either to several short eruptions or to a long eruption. " explains Aline Peltier.
