Opera singer Dagmar Peckova Prague performance - Leading Czech opera singer Dagmar Pecková, who has performed at the most prestigious opera and concert stages in the world, will present her extraordinary new album The Magical Gallery, composed by Darek Král, on 7 April in the Forum Karlín multifunctional complex in Prague. The guests of the concert will be Epoque Quartet and tenor Richard Samek.
She has worked at the Sächsische Staatsoper in Dresden and the State Opera in Berlin, and has performed on world stages such as Carnegie Hall New York, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Opera de Monte-Carlo, Opera National de Paris, Royal Opera House Covent Garden London, Théâtre du Châtelet Paris. The Teatro Sao Carlo in Lisbon, the Wigmore Hall in London, the National Theater in Prague and dozens of others, has repeatedly performed at prestigious international music festivals, has released more than thirty albums.
For the latest album The Magical Gallery, released last October, mezzo-soprano Dagmar Pecková and composer Darek Král are now preparing a unique concert "Dagmar Pecková in The Magical Gallery", which will take place on April 7 at Forum Karlín.

The idea for The Magical Gallery, featuring compositions inspired by world-class masterpieces, was worn by composer and producer Darek Král in his head for many years. But it lacked the main - a unique voice that could portray the emotions needed in the recording. Despite seemingly contradictory, he found the most suitable combination of opera voice and electronic music, so he addressed Dagmar Pecková, who was very fond of the project.
“We met Dark King in 2015 when we worked on an aria for a theater production at the Klicpera Theater in Hradec Králové. Shortly thereafter came the idea of creating an unconventional conceptual album. I was tempted to have songs written solely for me in the repertoire, as their main performer I would be able to imprint them with an initial and inferred face, ”said Dagmar Pecková about the project.
The pieces were inspired by paintings by masters such as Degas, Toulouse-Lautrec, Monet, Manet, Modigliani, Klimt, Schiele, Vincent van Gogh and John Singer Sargent. Moreover, each song is sung in the native language of the painter.
With the help of modern audiovisual technology, the "world of tones and colors", an opera voice with electronic music, will be combined, and on 7 April, Forum Karlín will be transformed into a magic gallery for one evening.

The Civic Democrats (ODS) are horny to rule, they cannot sell as Babis, they have no target, they are not for young people
It doesn't look like the victory of the Blue Democrats, because they miss what is really bothering this country, they refuse to transform, rejuvenate, take today's trouble and risks, the future. Anticommunism and antibabishism are not enough.
ODS Congress was held in Prague on Saturday. She and Pirates are parties that can eventually compete with ANO Andrej Babiš, alternating in second and third place in the popularity of voters. However, the popularity is about 15 percent. Today it seems certain that without the ODS and its voters, the prime minister in the conflict of interests, the prime minister of the ex-StB collaborator, will not be defeated. The success and quality of this party will be important.
The ODS is horny for victory, longing for governance. OK. At the same time, it is not so much different from YES. Chairman Petr Fiala did not have a contender, as Babiš does not have in his movement. (Neither did the candidate for the 1st Vice-President Alexandra Udženija, but she was not elected, the Blue Democracy defied and swept the agreement on the second highest function.)
Like Babis, Fiala promises and promises and promises, although it is not clear where to get the money for all those discounts and projects. It promises investment in roads, defense, education, science, abolishes super-gross wages, part of taxes, offers a balanced budget. Resources? If you know something about the functioning of the state, you do not know how it wants to cut laws, lay off thousands of officials, and at the same time allow citizens to deal with the state from home…
Basic ODS problem? Who is it for? Who is he targeting? The young? No. Moreover, even though it is called "civic", the civic movement Million Moments for Democracy keeps it away from the body. She offers Miroslav Nemcova for a while, that is her "face for young"…
Odessa should engage in research on Median's election. People aged 18 to 24 vote mostly for Pirates (33.6 percent), then YES (11.4) and ODS for the third (10 percent). The older the voter is, the more it tends to YES, with 65+ the ratio of YES to ODS is 45 to 7! The big problem of the blue party, the Pirates address the young, the ODS little. The old one speaks YES, the ODS speaks little. Neither is the middle class blue more than Babiš's movement, a ratio of 27.3 YES and 11.7 ODS. College students and high school graduates attract more YES and Pirates. Who are they for? They're not clear about it. Petr Fiala promised twice to go around the republic (learning from Zeman and Babiš), but will it come to young, retired, middle class?

Party policy depends on personalities, the program, and the ability to offer, engage, and persuade it. Pavel Novotný, Mayor of Řeporyj, caught it. When he stood for the 1st Vice Chairman (provocation, show) after Udzheniy's fall, he said, "You can't at least think about your potential to sell your job better. Ku * va, look at what Babis sold!" - This party for entrepreneurs has long been either unaware of what it is to sell a product, or offers one that enough people simply don't trust. (And she is staring into herself, as is Novotny, who might be called Pavel Jájájá.)
Again, without the ODS and without the Pirates, it will not be possible to deprive the country of the Estéban Prime Minister. Fiala made his best speech at the congress. He's already learned a little. He was then sovereignly elected. But why didn't he have an opponent? Rivalry today needs a democratic party to train. Why didn't Sasha Vondra stand up to him? Why didn't he go into the duel for the first vice-president when his delegates persuaded him after losing Udzheniya?
So clearly, MEPs and being party two before regional and parliamentary elections, it does not go together. Give up the MEP's dream salary? Neither is it, so far the loyalty of "havloid" (so he called himself) Vondra does not go. Zbyněk Stanjura became the number two ODS, again nothing new, old pardal. Novotny did not vote.
How strong is the ODS? What can a Democrat appreciate? Promised hundreds of billions probably not, populism knows better Babiš. But the ODS is a party that supports entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs, promises a lean state for 20 years (but never slimmed it down), low taxes (it did not reduce them) and certainly does not want to separate us from the West. But even in this certainty you will find cracks, such as MEP Jan Zahradil joined the EU-China Friendship Group, an initiative that works closely with the influential agencies of the Communist Party of China. Etc.
Again: whom does the ODS target? 2.5 million people in poverty or on the brink of poverty is not a topic for it, it did not sound at the congress. People with environmental concerns? Vondra offers a "small pond to every village" (but also the football stadium in Brno for the World Championship). There have been repeated sentences about alarmists, about the green tsunami, what is coming at us, etc. What does the ODS climate plan look like? Not to change anything that would force people to change their lifestyle, themselves. Kuber's wise: "The year 2017 was the hottest since 1775. What does this information mean? Nothing, nothing at all." The time limit since 1775 is said to be "unrecordable in space quantities". Mein Gott!
Young out of play, not one woman
At night the young Odesians were talking in front of the half-empty hall. Although the phrase "crazy Greta" was said again, at the same time the thirties said that their generation did not address their generation, that young people were seriously concerned about the climate, their future, that the ODS had no real plan for pension reform, etc. they are not, the old wolves run the party. No woman is at the forefront of the party and the top positions they hold! A modern party for the future? No.
The motto of the congress was DNA helix and the claim that "the Czech Republic and the Czechs have the victory in genes". There has been much talk of victory and that the ODS will form a government next time. Reality is different, we got freedom as a gift, undeserved. In the past, we did not win much, and after the revolution, we disposed of the gift of freedom badly - also thanks to the ODS. Even now, it does not look like the victory of the Blue Democrats, because they miss what really plagues this country, refuse to transform, rejuvenate, take today's trouble and risks, the future. Anticommunism and antibabishism are not enough.
It was incredibly stupid and shortsighted when Udzhenia told Pirates that they were "ordinary progressives who live in their bubble of false superiority", "they are very aggressively trying to destroy the value order and do nothing but destruction." Who would the ODS rule with if it succeeded in the elections? Martians? Only a combination of Pirates and ODS can defeat YES, the Communists and the SPD. Insulting the Pirates is the same as claiming that the party will remain in opposition after the elections.
The ODS is horrible about government, wants to win and return to power, but at the congress it has shown that it has not yet arrived, is too stuck in itself, stuck in the past, hostile to similarly strong democratic colleagues. At the same time, it must be part of a return to liberal democracy. Looks like we'll wait.
