Jalaf Santero prepare Road Tourism start: The Road Tourism and the TC Track already have their 2020 calendar, which will start in Viedma on February 16 and will conclude in Neuquén on November 29, according to the Association of Road Tourism Brokers (ACTC).

Although the dates of the 2020 calendar had already been published, the ACTC now disseminated the rest of the circuits that will compose the season, although three scenarios remain to be defined.

As outstanding data it is highlighted that Toay, El Villicum and the province of Entre Ríos will have two races.

It remains to know where the third date will be played (it could be in Rosario), while the race of October 4 (12 of the general and second of the Gold Cup) would fall to Paraná.

Meanwhile, the competition on June 21 will be played by Concordia (with more opportunities) and Concepción del Uruguay.

Two Mendoza from the scene

After the heavy accident in Rafaela, in September 2019, Matías Jalaf did not get on a road tourism car again.

But after intense work, the Mendoza again bet on the TC and in this way the Nova Racing is finishing building a Ford, with which it stipulates to be present on the first date, or later on the second.

Jalaf will be Juan Manuel Silva's teammate, since Pato will drive the car Matías Rossi left.

In this way, there will be two Mendoza who compete this season in the highest category, since Jalaf will be joined by the return of Julián Santero, who will do it with a Ford attended by Walter Alifraco's team and driven by Rody Agut.

Agustín Canapino was crowned for the fourth time Road Tourism champion

Agustín Canapino (Chevrolet) was consecrated for the fourth time as champion of Road Tourism, at the end of fourth in the competition developed in the town of Centenario, province of Neuquén, for the fifth and final date of the Gold Cup.

The test was won by the chaco Juan Manuel Silva (Ford), escorted by Lionel Ugalde (Ford) from Buenos Aires and Valentín Aguirre (Dodge) from Buenos Aires.

The reef rider was able to repeat the conquests of 2010, 2017 and 2018, and add a new achievement to his successful record, which includes, for example, seven crowns of Top Race V6, one of Super TC2000 and one of TC Pista.

Canapino only suffered on his Chevrolet in the first three laps, because Emiliano Spataro, the winner of the fastest series, suffered the breakage of a shield in the start and had to leave in his last race over the Torino of the Renault team.

That situation generated the opportunity for Valentín Aguirre to place himself not only at the head of the race, and momentarily at the top of the Gold Cup, with just 0.75 points ahead of Canapino.

But the race suffered the first of two neutralizations in turn number 3 and in the relaunch it remained empty-handed, because it lost a position and Canapino was seventh.

In the remaining 24 laps (the race ended on time with one less lap), the Reef Titan won three other places and just like the champion of TC Pista, Diego Ciantini, could not celebrate at the Neuquen racecourse with his father, coach Alberto Canapino, who is suspended by the ACTC.

Canapino, with two victories this season (Rafaela and San Nicolás, both in the playoff), finished the Gold Cup with 209.25 points and 14.25 ahead of Aguirre.
