How much is the void worth? An Italian artist Salvatore Garau sells invisible statue 15000 euros - What a time to be alive. We live in a century where algorithms are capable of painting incredible pictures, AI detects counterfeits, machine learning programs compose discs and collecting crypto art in the form of NFT moves millions of dollars. Another milestone to highlight in this 2021 is the sale of an invisible statue for a considerable price.
The first invisible sculpture in the world bears the signature of Italian Salvatore Garau and has been auctioned for 15,000 euros, according to Italia 24 News.
The description of the work is as mysterious as it is confusing: in the first place, it is defined as eco-conscious, since its carbon footprint, being the vacuum, is null, and cannot be replicated.
"The successful outcome of the auction testifies to an irrefutable fact: the void is nothing more than a space full of energy, and even if we empty it and there is nothing left, according to Heisenberg's uncertainty principle that nothingness has a weight. It has therefore an energy that condenses and transforms into particles, in short, in us!Garay himself explains about it.
"When I decide to” exhibit" an immaterial sculpture in a given space, that space will concentrate a certain amount and density of thoughts at a precise point, creating a sculpture that from my title will only take the most varied forms. After all, don't we shape a God we've never seen?", apostilles the artist.

Although it may seem like a joke given its immaterial character, the guidelines explain that this artistic work should be placed in a space that allows the dimensions of approximately 150 x 150 centimeters to be free of obstructions.
The owner will obtain a certificate of authenticity of the sculpture, the only visual element present in the catalog, where to represent it you can appreciate an absolute white space.

The sculpture is titled I am and was dispatched in a bid organized by Art-Rite, an Italian auction house that manages exhibitions dedicated exclusively to contemporary art.
The artist, coming from Santa Giusta, already made other works of art characterized by immateriality. The previous exhibition Buddha in Contemplation, was presented in February in Piazza Della Scala in Milan.
According to the exhibition, these invisible sculptures “have a new historical value and represent a perfect metaphor for our days”. We will have to see if they set a precedent for a new artistic trend.

This is how Ikea Rental works, the new furniture rental service that has just arrived in Spain
Ikea has recently launched in Spain a new furniture rental service, already developed in other countries, and with which it hopes to offer different solutions to companies and freelancers and for homes.
This is Ikea Rental, which gives companies access to furniture but without the need to buy it. "It will allow you to adapt to your furniture needs in a flexible way. Regardless of the type of home, business or office, we will adapt the solution to your needs, " says the Swedish company.
This service enhances the circular economy and sustainability, since it allows customers to enjoy the chosen furniture for a period of time and, when they stop needing them, they will go to "a new home".
Ikea Rental aims to offer a solution to companies or self-employed who are opening a business and need to acquire furniture but do not want to have them, for the moment, in ownership.
"The Ikea Rental service is in charge of offering you the best furniture solution, giving you time to focus on your business. We put our best interior specialists at your disposal to create solutions specially designed for you", in exchange for a fixed monthly payment, explains the company on its website.
In this service, Ikea analyzes the needs, style, budget and objectives so that its specialists develop a design and furniture proposal for the client, present the final offer and manage the documentation for the signing of the contract, taking care of coordinating the delivery and assembly.
Finally, before the contract ends, Ikea contacts the customer and plans the collection of furniture to give them"a new life". "If you prefer to keep the furniture, we will find a flexible solution," he adds as an alternative.
The Ikea Rental service is available in all centers in Spain with two modalities: Ikea Rental, in which the client acquires the furniture and other items in ownership; and Ikea Rental Flex, which includes annual preventive maintenance and insurance of claims, and in which the client decides at the end of the contract whether to buy or return the products.
Both cases involve a fixed monthly cost and a contract duration of 24, 36 or 48 months.
As examples of situations in which you can take advantage of this service rental, Ikea presents a place of work 200 m2 to 35 employees, with office areas, meeting rooms and dining room furnished with Ikea-Rental and various services including 500 euros per month on a contract of 48 months; the furnishing of a house rented for a fee of 200 euros per month on a contract of 36 months, and decorating a small business self-employed for 160 euros per month on a 2 year contract.
In another move, Ikea has also embarked on the rental of home furniture with the beginning of its collaboration with Rentchester, a platform for renting furniture to individuals that works as a subscription, reports Europa Press.
