Loans for YPF: Nielsen achieves international financial assistance for state oil company

Together, there will be $ 150 million that the company will receive and will channel through its subsidiary YPF Luz to complete this park that promises to generate 120 MW of renewable power, equivalent to providing energy to some 150,000 homes.
The operation consists of a BNP Paribas Fortis loan of up to US $ 100 million with a guarantee from Euler Hermes, which is Germany's export credit agency. To this is added a loan from the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC, former OPIC) for another $ 50 million.
The announcement of these investments coincided with the arrival at Puerto Deseado of 33 blades and 40 tower sections that will allow the completion of the equipment for the 29 wind turbines that will make up the park.
"This investment, which has the support of financial institutions, is a clear sign of YPF's ability to work with the most demanding credit agencies in the market, and also demonstrates that we are in a context of trust towards the country's economic future "said the president of the company, Guillermo Nielsen.
For his part, the CEO of YPF LUZ, Martín Mandarano, was "very satisfied to move quickly with the construction work of the Cañadón León wind farm and take concrete steps to generate wind power from Santa Cruz for all Argentines."
