The Departmental Epidemiological Node of the Centennial Gualeguaychú Hospital detected and confirmed three dengue patients. These are two women and a man of 23, 25 and 46 years with Argentine and Paraguayan nationality. They are imported cases, described Elina Villarruel, head of the Node.

The patients are part of a family group of a dozen people who traveled to Paraguay during the New Year's Eve. On Friday, one of them presented some symptoms and approached the hospital where the doctor of the Guard had the suspicion and, with good judgment, requested the analyzes to confirm the disease.

Dengue is a disease caused by a virus that is transmitted through the bite of a mosquito belonging to the genus Aedes, mainly Aedes aegypti, which has household habits, so the transmission is predominantly domestic.
