Controversy video exploits Kanye West Famous: But the whole fight exploded when Kim Kardashian West, Kanye's wife and a media superstar on its own, released a movie that showed Kanye called Swift to ask for permission to use the line (minus, Swift defenders often indicate the word ""), and Swift gave him the blessing.

In the public opinion court, Swift has decisively lost this battle. People filled out their social media feeds with snake emojis, and hashtag #KimExposedTaylorParty started on Twitter. Swift's image had such an impact that he still responds to the controversy in his latest single, three years later. On Sunday Tumblr, she says the time was "the lowest point".

So what does Braun have to do with all this? Braun was the Western manager at the time. It is unclear whether Braun had anything to do with the released Kardashian videos (this development resembles a Kris Jenner epoch, in my opinion, but I only have information that is already public). And, as West manager, Braun was probably involved in the movie "Famous" and in creating the naked figure Taylor Swift. In her posting, Swift refers to the film as "a porno music revenge movie that stripes my naked body."

She also claims that Braun tries to violet her violently after Kardashian released these videos. More specifically, it cites an Instagram post that was deleted now by Justin Bieber (also a Braun customer) shortly after Kim released these videos in July 2016, pointing Bieber to a video call with Braun and West . The legend said: "Taylor Swift what happened."

"Essentially, my musical heritage is about to be in the hands of someone who has tried to dismantle it," says Swift, adding, "Never in my worst nightmares did I imagine the buyer to be a Scooter."

Swift blames them not only for Braun, but also for Borchetta, whom she accuses of betraying her loyalty. He says he has asked for the opportunity to buy his masters back from Big Machine Records. The only offer the Big Machine offered her, she said, was the chance to win the masters back to a record at a time, so it will have to release a completely new album through Big Machine, its old albums.

This offer, Swift says, was unacceptable to her because she knew that Borchetta would soon sell Big Machine - "I knew once I signed the contract, Scott Borchetta will sell the label, selling it to me and my future," she writes - and did not want to hire her future career at an unknown party.

Swift also says that Borchetta knew he did not trust Braun, that Borchetta had given him no advance warning about his plans to sell to Braun and that he only learned about the acquisition when the news became public.

"He knew what he was doing," writes Swift; "They both did it, the control of a woman who did not want to be associated with it, Perpetually, that's forever."
Many details of Swift's post have been challenged

Since Swift has published her post, several parties have come forward to face some of her claims.

So far, Braun has not responded to any Swift accusations. Bieber, however, stepped into the defense of his manager, claiming Swift had a wrong story about Bieber's post in 2016 about Instagram whom he cited as proof of Braun's aggression.

"It was my subtitle and post that I had screenshot of the scooter and Kanye who said" Taylor swift what, "wrote Bieber in a new Instagram post on Sunday." He had nothing to do with it and it was not even part of the conversation in all the news he was the person who told me not to joke like that. "

In turn, Borchetta wrote a long-term post on the Big Machine website titled "Preparing for a Truth ...". In that post, which came out a few hours after Swift, he responds specifically to Swift's accusations against him.

Swift's post says Big Machine gave him the chance to win his master album back on the album, but Borchetta disagreed and included negotiating document sequences to support himself. Per Borchetta, the business he's discussing would have meant that Swift would take control of her masters as soon as he signed the contract and instead agreed to stay with the Big Machine for many years. (On the screen he posted, Swift's camp proposed a seven-year period and Big Machine countered for 10 years).

It is worth noting, however, that while Borchetta's business account varies from what Swift described in his Tumblr post, his corrections do not change what Swift says as a point of view of the proposed business: she says want to be forced to stay at Big Machine because he knew he was about to sell, and this business would have forced her to stay there under her new management. Borchetta does not suggest that Swift was given the opportunity to buy the Big Machine masters without committing to spending more time on the label.

Borchetta also disputes Swift's assertion that he has blinded her with the news of the sale. According to him, Swift's father, Scott Swift, is a shareholder in Big Machine Records and as such has been informed about the sale. Moreover, says Borchetta, lawyers and directors at Swift 13 have been present at shareholders' calls during which shareholders have voted to sell Braun's Big Machine. Borchetta also says he personally wrote about Swift's sale one night before the news.

Borchetta covered a bit about the problem if he knew that Swift would not be happy to know he had sold Braun's masters. "I was aware of some previous problems between Taylor and Justin Bieber, yes," he writes, "but there were times when Taylor knew I was close to Scooter and that Scooter was a good source of information for the upcoming album releases, tournaments, etc. and I would have contacted them for information on our behalf. "

"The Scooter has always been and will continue to be a supporter and honest custodian for Taylor and her music," Borchetta concludes.
As far as social media are concerned, the controversy has become a chance for alliance building

As the drama wounded, it became a chance for more stars to solidify their positions on both sides of the Swift-Braun battle.

Bieber sticks to Braun and writes that Swift's post "is not right." Braun customer (and occasionally Swift frenemy) Demi Lovato is also Team Braun, describing him as a "good man" in an Instagram story and saying, "I'm grateful he came to my life when he did.

Meanwhile, artists like Halsey have come to support the Swift team. Halsey wrote on social media, "She deserves to have the wonderful power of her heart."

"Tell someone about a deal a few days before the public means that the business has already been done and has never had the opportunity to make an offer to own their own work," said Iggy Azalea, another member of Swift. "These deals need months to negotiate in long form."

The YouTube star, Todrick Hall, who is Swift's BFF and a former Braun customer, is also missing Swift. "He is a bad man who only has concerns about his wealth and the feeding of his disgusting ego," he wrote about Braun. "I think he's homophobic and I know from his own mouth that he's not a Swift fan." Hall is the only important player so far to claim that Braun is homophobic.

Non-celebrities who are also involved in the deal also spoke, including former Oprah Winfrey Network President Erik Logan, who named Swift a liar and a bully in a post now wiped out. If you want a thorough analysis, journalist Yashar Ali has collected most of the most dramatic answers in a useful thread for Twitter, and Cultural Pop culture journalist Courtney Soliday has nominated the various alliances.

What this means?

There are several ways to interpret Swift's decision to publicize this incident here.

It is quite possible that the most direct reading is the correct one: the fact that Swift really believes that Braun has assaulted her and that Borchetta has betrayed her, that she is really indignant about her situation and is doing so this is the best way to solve it.

Certainly, it is true that Borchetta presented Swift with the news of the sale as a closed business without giving her a chance to try to buy her absolute masters: According to Borchetta's time account, Swift surfers were only warned of agreement when the time for a vote of shareholders came, and he did not tell Swift directly until the contract was finalized. It also appears to be true that Braun helped at least to make a musical video that included Swift's nude likeness without her permission.

Swift may not be right about the fact that Braun officially assaulted the social media or the business details the Big Machine offered her and, on the basis of what was made public, I do not think that it was. But probably it does not feel great for Swift that someone who helped build the movie "Famous" now holds the masters of his entire old music. He probably appreciated the chance to try to face the business behind the scenes.

It is also true that Swift is extremely strategic in terms of how he builds his public image. It must be because it is part of the job of being a pop star, especially a successful pop star who has been known for over a decade. Swift also made a form of art.

Swift is currently in the midst of promoting a new album coming out of August, which means she needs positive titles. In the past, she has managed to build a positive news cycle, positioning herself as a very malignant victim in the drama of public celebrity - both in cases where she was really unmistakably right (its case of sexual assault) (Kanyegate).

It would not be inappropriate for Swift to take advantage of this controversy as an opportunity for her to soften her anger and get some flattering titles at a particularly timely moment. Nor would it be devoid of character for her to deliberately stretch the truth of the situation in this process.

Even if she does not win this advertising cycle, Swift has just guaranteed that millions of people want to read her name this week and remember that she has a new album coming out this autumn. The Braun Scooter can still get out of this untouched battle, but no matter what happens there, Swift has just won a victory.
