Since 1967, the Consumer Electronics Show (or CES) has invited the most innovative companies to come and present the solutions of tomorrow.
Between the ultra-connected electric car presented by Sony and the foldable touchscreen tablet from Lenovo, some start-ups were last week in Las Vegas to present innovative solutions or services for seniors.
CES 2020 French Tech presents solutions seniors
This is particularly the case for the Toulouse-based company Hygia, which came to present its digital health book.
Named Hygia care, this mobile application planned for next spring will simplify the health journey.
An application which is not specifically intended for the elderly but which can be of great service to them by centralizing all the documents useful for medical monitoring: prescriptions, results of examinations, etc.
Innovation for home care
French Tech was also represented on the other side of the Atlantic by the Nice start-up Fingertips, present at the show to publicize the Viktor connected cushion.
This cushion / remote control aims to facilitate the daily life of people losing their autonomy by allowing them to control all of the connected objects in their environment or to call a service or a loved one by simple contact with Viktor.
Innovation to combat cognitive impairment
Also present at the show, the company My Cyber Kingdom designs innovative virtual reality programs.
Fun exercises in a virtual universe, which maintain physical motor skills and stimulate cognitive functions using a helmet and two joysticks.
Innovation for more accessibility
A start-up from Haute-Vienne, Facil'iti offers free software that allows you to adapt the visual content of a website, based on a visual, physical or cognitive impairment.
A clever tool for more digital inclusion, which allows comfortable navigation for people with color blindness, presbyopia, dyslexia, Parkinson's disease, osteoarthritis ...
TRENDS: 10 start-ups represent French e-health at CES 2016 in Las Vegas
French e-health is taking off. This year, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, visitors were able to discover 10 hexagonal start-ups amidst the giants of the telephone, IT, automotive and video industries.
CES in Las Vegas is a major event in international electronics - it is where VHS or Blu-ray video recorders were presented, for example. If "French Technology" only represents a very small number of exhibitors - 190 out of 3600 - the fact remains that this figure has been increasing sharply in recent years.
Among them, 10 companies specializing in e-health were able to demonstrate French know-how from 6 to 9 January. A great opportunity, especially since health is one of the flagship trends of the show. All are members of France eHealthTech, the association of e-health start-ups in France, launched on December 16.
