In June 2018, the .BZH association and the region launched a petition for the creation of an emoji in the colors of Brittany, a petition which had collected the signatures of Bretons from around the world. Subsequently, an official request for support was sent to seven Internet giants (Google, Apple, Facebook, Microsoft, Samsung, IBM and Twitter). Twitter is the only one that has responded positively so far.
This is very good news for the defenders of Breton culture, even if the mission is not yet fully accomplished. One thing is certain, the Breton flag or "Gwenn ha du" is still flying.
