7 European Union countries use COVID passport travel - Although the COVID digital certificate will be implemented in all European Union member countries from July 1, some regions have already advanced and started issuing these health passports, as reported by Euronews.

The document is multilingual, free of charge and can be ported in both physical and digital formats. The health information of the traveler is contained in a QR code, from the name to the information about the vaccine and a unique identifier. The green passport certifies that the person can move to another EU country.

Any EU citizen can obtain the COVID digital certificate. 7 countries have already started issuing it to the inhabitants who wish it to facilitate safe tourism through the block.

These member States are Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Croatia and Poland. More than 20 countries have successfully tested the system in the last month, says the European Commission, and in Spain it will be launched from next June 7.

"We must remember that the conditions of access to obtain this certificate will change from one country to another. It is up to each country to determine who receives the vaccine, who is tested and who will be declared immunized," Alberto Alemanno, professor of EU legal policy at HEC Paris, tells Euronews. During the negotiation of recent months there have been divergences between the regions.

Brussels has also previously indicated that fully vaccinated people from third countries should be able to visit the Old Continent without any quarantine requirements, provided they are given EU-approved injections.

Those who carry the COVID passport can travel proving that they are vaccinated against the coronavirus, have antibodies for having overcome the disease or have negative PCR.

Not all vaccines are valid for this travel permit: the person must have inoculated one of the 4 sera approved by the European body: Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna or Janssen.

According to Our World In Data, more than 38% of the EU population has received at least one dose of vaccines, compared to 50.3% in the US, 57.7% in Canada, 58.1% in the UK and 63% in Israel.

7 European Union countries use COVID passport travel: Yesterday, there were more than 250 million vaccinations in the European Union, and more than 80 million Europeans are fully vaccinated. The plan is for 70% of the adult population to be vaccinated by July.

Tourists who meet the requirements of the COVID passport and have the green certificate will be able to move freely around the EU, without having to pay for diagnostic tests again. However, they are not exempt from complying with the regulations established in each destination country, such as the use of a mask outdoors or curfew.

Post-pandemic workers will choose companies that allow reconciling and teleworking, according to Randstad study

Randstad has presented its annual Randstad Employer Brand Research report 2021. This study, based on 200,000 surveys carried out in 34 countries (10,000 in Spain), studies the image that a company projects and what its current and potential employees demand. The main conclusion is that, after the pandemic, workers will choose companies that allow them to reconcile and telework.

According to the report, once again the salary is the most important factor for Spaniards when choosing a company to work.

70 % of professionals indicate that economic remuneration is the main reason when selecting a company to carry out their professional career, a percentage higher than the European average, which stands at 67 %.
The balance between the work environment and personal life remains the second most important factor, being chosen by two out of three professionals (66 %), a trend higher than that of the rest of Europe, located at 60 %.

Having a pleasant working environment has seen its importance for workers increased in this year's report, being chosen by 64% and placed in third position. Women, those over 35 and those with a higher education consider these three criteria even more important than their peers. Then there are job security (62 %) and the possibility of a successful career in the company (57 %).

In the opinion of Oriol Mas, managing director of Randstad Training and Human Capital Consulting, " although wages are fundamental for workers when looking for employment, soft factors (such as conciliation or a pleasant environment) are experiencing a growth trend in recent years that the pandemic has increased. That is why from Randstad we recommend companies to pay attention to both salaries, and a good professional and personal balance, to be in a situation of competitive advantage”.

The report, they stress, shows that”the pandemic has had a decisive influence on the preferences of workers". In fact, 50% of professionals in Spain value that companies guarantee protection measures against COVID-19, and 43% that they offer a telework plan.

In particular, women give more importance to teleworking than men (47% versus 40 %), as well as people with a higher educational level versus professionals with basic education (47% versus 35 %).

Teleworking is undoubtedly one of the protagonists of the labour market today. About half of the respondents say that they have been able to telework during the pandemic, while 22 % could not do so because the characteristics of their job required attendance.

As Randstad points out, the crisis generated by the pandemic caused 47% of workers in Spain to be dismissed, lose their jobs, work a different number of hours than usual or suffer other consequences that made their employment situation change, a percentage higher than the European average, located at 39 %.

In particular, most of those who lost their jobs were in the 18-34 age group (19 %) or in workers with a basic level of training (27%). However, 42 per cent of professionals continued to work in a normal manner, a percentage that is higher for men and people with higher education.
